Description of Services: Bethlehem Center is a longstanding, community-based nonprofit organization in Spartanburg, South Carolina, dedicated to strengthening individuals, families and neighborhoods through education, economic opportunity and community development. Serving generations of families in the Highland community, Bethlehem Center delivers integrated services across four core areas: early care and education, youth development, economic vitality and community supportive services. Our services include high-quality early childhood education, afterschool and summer enrichment, youth leadership, workforce development, financial coaching, family navigation, housing stabilization assistance, food security, behavioral health and senior wellness. As a community-based partner in Highland Movement 2030 and the City of Spartanburg's Byrne Criminal Justice Innovation initiative, Bethlehem Center advances neighborhood revitalization through resident engagement, institutional partnerships and coordinated community investment. Our partnership with LISC Upstate supports the implementation of the Financial Opportunity Center model, integrating employment services, financial coaching and income supports to advance household economic mobility. We are advancing an approximately $20 million community facility investment to expand access to education, workforce development, recreation and family support while preserving early childhood education in our existing facility.
